What A Season

Updated: May 23, 2020

So, that is the end of the 2019 season and with it, it brings to a close Camino Coaching's second season in the various paddocks we work in and what a way to end it, with Alex Connor winning his 2nd race in the UAE F4 race in front of the crowd at Yas Marina during the final round of F1 at Abu Dhabi.

The year has been great progress for Camino Coaching working with drivers and riders on their mental preparation and increases in performance by racing in Flow, in Britain, the United States, Australia and Asia both in-person and online.   I would like to congratulate all my clients on the progress they have made who have been racing in some of the most demanding race series on the planet. In particular, I would like to thank:  Alex Connor British F4  2019 has seen Alex complete his rookie season in British F4 and making the move up from Karting. Alex has had a really strong year securing 2nd in the Rookie Cup with 5 wins, 11-2nd places and 6-3rd place finishes. He has learned a lot and coming off the high of the win in Abu Dhabi will be looking for more top steps next season.

Sam Wilford CEV European Moto 2 Championship  Sam has been adapting all year to the challenge of the Kalex Moto2 and has had a busy year competing in both the British GP2 Championship, earning 8 podiums in the GP2 series, as well as the CEV championship races held in Spain and Portugal.  2020 will see Sam campaign the full season in the Moto 2 European Championship and is looking to work hard over the winter to be competitive in class from the first round in Portimao, Portugal in April.

Sam Lowes FIM Moto2 World Championship  Sam and I started working together before the Misano round in September and we have been working on a programme to prepare well for next season with MarcVDS. Developing a new approach to the 2020 season with the World Championship winning team and the opportunity it has to offer.

Next season will be a big year and the testing starts straight away so there is little rest but with more work, awareness and growth let us see what is possible.
